Today we celebrated Halloween! Students enjoyed watching a short documentary about the history of Halloween, which was followed by a discussion. Then, they got to do various tasks through worksheets and interactive games on the smart board. They got to make masks, paper pumpkins and other holiday-related characters. There was a word search worksheet and older students solved the Mystery of the Haunted House Heist, where they were supposed to follow the clues, which were based on linguistic tasks, so as to find who the thief in the story was. Both teacher and students enjoyed these activities very much and it was a nice way to spend our day learning and appreciating the holiday celebrated in the English-speaking countries.
