Today’s class began with basic gymnastic elements on the floor: bridge, candlestick, and scale. Then, additional exercises on the Swedish bars were performed to promote proper growth and development of the body, with a focus on the abdominal and the core muscles. In the main part of the class, elements in the support position were performed: handstand facing the wall and cartwheel. This was followed by acrobatics on the trampoline, where jumps onto an elevated surface leading to a handstand position, through a forward roll and a dive roll were performed. All these exercises served as preparation for the complex gymnastic element front handspring, which the students performed with assistance.
