Fifth grade students marked World Space Week by creating the Colony on Mars project. By collecting information about the temperature, rotation, revolution and gravity on Mars and viewing the surface of Mars through the VR BOX glasses, the students gained knowledge about the conditions on this planet. Divided into groups, students were given tasks to devise solutions for obtaining water, food and electricity in order to create a colony. After making a sketch, they presented their ideas and built a base on a model of the surface of Mars from recycled material.
