Third and fourth grade students studied calligraphy today through an interdisciplinary approach. At the very beginning, they got acquainted with the history of this art, and then, using a pen and ink, they created a wide variety of work products that include their initials. Calligraphy gives unique content to each individual letter form with the use of design planning. They also did a research on various languages of the world and read proverbs and wise thoughts in some of the most beautiful ones.
Continuing with the research of beautiful writing, in correlation with the subject Art, Design and Technology, the students, using the digital tool Canva, enjoyed preparing creative invitations for the New Year celebration. To complete intercultural skills, with the help of a Cricut paper cutting machine, they transferred calligraphy to a digital tool and created creative work.
