Through the project which covered various aspects of water importance and beauty, the third and fourth grade students experimented with physical properties, cycles and effects of water on the environment. Emphasizing factors such as water purity, the consequences of its action on the growth of living organisms and ecological implications, the students of our school transferred their observations and conclusions to the canvas through the creative process of painting. This multidisciplinary approach integrated scientific research with artistic expression, while encouraging students’ creative and environmental awareness. The interactive character of the project stages resulted in deeper understanding the sustainability policy of this extremely important resource and a special challenge involved the artistic representation of water symbolism on canvas.
