Cambridge Music

Cambridge Music is a creative and inspiring subject, which teaches children about rhythm, expression and confidence. Learners on this programme are encouraged to develop their individual musical skills as well as learning to contribute to group performances. There are two key strands to the Music curriculum: making music and making sense of music.

On the Cambridge Primary Music curriculum, children learn to be:

Responsible;

Reflective;

Innovative;

Engaged;

Confident.

Students will explore music from different times and cultures, developing a personal taste. Through singing, body percussion or musical instruments, they will hone their musical skills and creativity. At each stage, children will develop their abilities and grow in confidence. There are no formal assessments for this subject, allowing teachers and students to be more flexible, focusing on the enjoyment of making and listening to music.
