Through a series of practical activities, third and fourth grade students learned about the properties and types of liquids and examined their smell, colour, and density. They also demonstrated different methods of separating substances, such as filtering, straining, and magnetic separation. The students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge by separating various materials such as flour, chalk, chocolate, lemon, and sand using these methods. This experience helped them better understand the characteristics and properties of the substances they studied.
