Why choose Crnjanski preschool programme and Cambridge EARLY YEARS
Activity
Children are involved in the process of their own education through well-planned activities that help them develop competence, work ability, emotional attachment and self-esteem.
Balance
Learning encourages a balance of physical, cognitive, language and communication, as well as social and emotional development.
Play
Learning is age-appropriate, play-based, and child-centered. It should include activities led by both adults and children.
Change
The Early Years educational program should enable children to make a successful transition to primary school, where they move from informal game-based learning to more formal teaching.
curriculum and syllabus
Cambridge Early Years Curriculum:
- follows a holistic approach that focuses on the child himself and connects his development with the world and people around him.
- it is built around four key areas of early childhood development:
Physical development
Cognitive development
Language and communication development
Social and emotional development
- develops knowledge, understanding and skills through a spiral approach, through repeated learning and deeper engagement with teaching topics and skills at each stage.
- helps students reach internationally established early development milestones. Although children develop at different rates, the curriculum provides a structure for teaching and learning that helps monitor and support each child's progress.
- supports a bilingual or multilingual approach for students for whom English is not their first language, as well as for those with different levels of English proficiency.
- prepares students to transition with ease to the Cambridge Primary program or to the next stage in their education.
- curriculum content is divided into six areas to monitor and support student progress.
CURRICULUM AREAS
The six curriculum areas help monitor and support progress in all areas of development.
COMMUNICATION AND LITERACY
Speaking, listening, reading and writing are crucial to children's early development. Pointing out to children the importance of language through fun activities and encouraging them to engage with a wide range of texts helps learners develop a lifelong desire to learn.
CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Kreativno izražavanje omogućava deci da izraze svoje ideje i razviju maštu kroz umetnost i dizajn, muziku, ples i glumu. Ova važna oblast objedinjuje veštine i kognitivne procese iz celokupnog nastavnog plana i programa.
MATHS
At an early age, it is important to help children recognize how mathematics affects everyday life. Through games and activities, we can introduce children to mathematical terms, thinking and concepts that they will need when they start elementary school.
PHYSICAL GROWTH
Our curriculum encourages children to improve movement skills through play, helping them develop positive attitudes towards exercise and laying the foundations for a healthy and active life.
PERSONAL AND SOCIAL GROWTH
This area is central to children's lives. It supports their personal well-being and achievement in all other areas of their learning. This area helps them develop social learning and establish friendships, adjust their emotional responses and respond to the needs of others, and develop self-esteem and confidence.
UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD
This area of the curriculum encourages children's natural curiosity as they explore the world around them. It lays the foundations for a range of different subjects in primary education and beyond, including science, digital literacy, computing and social studies.
